@Xit is the first company in the Netherlands to deploy "talking" cameras as part of a total camera surveillance solution. Railway station Vlaardingen is the first location in the Netherlands where it's possible to talk to people who are in a prohibited area or who act in unlawful ways, from a central command room.

The talking cameras are the result of @Xit's technical developments in hardware and software. The systems are a perfect extension to our ARGOS camera surveillance software.

The usage of these talking cameras hasn't been unnoticed by the media. On May 7 Radio Rijnmond and TV Rijnmond reported about this extensively in their news broadcasts. Also the talking cameras were shown on national TV by RTL4 on the show "4 In Het Land".

On March 22 2007, @Xit was in the newspapers again. This time, daily newspaper BN/DeStem wrote an almost full-page article about @Xit, our camera solutions and the company's history.

We already mentioned the succesful partnership between @Xit and ProRail and the successful results our camera system has provided in the city of Vlaardingen. Now even the initial sceptics have changed their minds. In newspaper Algemeen Dagblad (AD/RD Waterweg edition) we read the following article, in which Mayor Tjerk Bruinsma further explains the need for camera surveillance.
