Rotterdam has chosen for @Xit SACS solutions for analysing and improving traffic flow on major traffic arteries to and from the city centre. SACS systems are Semi Autonomous Camera Systems that are being installed on existing infrastructure. The connection to the monitoring centre is provided by T-Mobile using 3G/HSUPA technology. The project is taken on in cooperation with Connected Strategische Veranderingsprocessen.

@Xit will be executing the project "Podium Jan Wolkers" for Stedelijk Museum de Lakenhal in Leiden. 

An autonomous camera system will be placed in the dunes near the coast of the Netherlands. This system will be pointed towards an "imaginary" theatre stage allowing people to perform for a maximum of 5 minutes. Their performances will be captured by the camera system which is triggered using motion detection technology. The stored videos will be transferred to the museum over the internet. The conceptual artists keep control over which performances are added to the playlist and are played back at the museum.

@Xit developed a movable, autonomous and intelligent camera system for safeguarding railroad intersections and barriers. Due to the success of the project, ProRail has extended the contracts for the next calendar year.

Sunday August 17, the city of Breda held its 20th Harley Day event. @Xit supplied 3 mobile and ultra mobile camera systems for the event, so that impressions could be broadcasted live on the internet. (Continue reading for a video montage of the recordings)
